A time for change....

I think to myself, thank god i bought out that web design company in bali a few months ago.

My initial supplier of web services when we got to busy to handle the work ourself has just said they no longer want to do business with us because we are to fussy. "To fussy" i thought to my self, any way i'm not sure how being to fussy is a problem. The problem they had was that they would cut corners, not finish work to a high standard. So that is hardly my fault to getting them to redo it.

Anyway its all in the past know and the last two projects which they are doing for us they have been informed to finish them by tomorrow and email them to our office. That will be the last we have to do with that company.

So what do i think about all of this, well nothing really, it has given me a little added pressure but nothing that i can't handle, and since i was thinking ahead and purchased another web design firm, it should be a smooth transition.

I spent most of today and last night researching search engine placement and optimisation for our clients that have taken that service up with us. I have found that the amount of changes to the way search engines work is amazing. Anyway all of my research pointed to not only haveing well developed search engine friendly content but also the need for ibl's and obl's. What are these? you ask, well they are "in bound links" and "out bound links". So what i have done is created a link program which will allow people to put a link on my web site for the exchange of a link on their's. The program will also check to make sure they have placed a link on their web site and if they haven't there link will be deleted.

On a more personal note after picking up my guitar the other day and having a bit of a refresher, i have started to play, and am now learning "Classical Gas" which is a bit of fun. It takes my mind of work for a little while.

One thing that i didn't do today, was go to a conference on "Digital content and web services" which was held at the state library. Now sitting here and thinking about how much i learn't at the last conference i went to i wish i would have made the effort. I just felt that i wouldn't have enough time to handle all the problems i was having with my outsourcing partner.

Oh well until next time....
